Hello! Welcome to my food blog- To Bake.
My name is Addison, I’m a 20-year old foodie with a craving for sweetness and creativity. I’m a twin, a music loving concert-goer, a 3rd year advertising student, and an aspiring chef/baker. I live in Toronto, Ontario- where there is no shortage of culinary inspiration.
My love for baked goods and sweets comes from an early exposure to home cooking and baking from both of my parents. As well, an obsession with the Food Network, online food blogs, food magazines, and collecting cookbooks, continually fuels this passion. There’s nothing more invigorating than the various aromas that can emerge from bringing various ingredients together. I find solace in the act of baking, in the idea that through a combination of flavours, textures, and techniques one can end up with something totally unique and absolutely delicious. Being able to share what I’ve made with my friends, family, and girlfriend, is the ultimate pay-off to my experimentation in the kitchen. I guess this is how the idea of starting To Bake occurred- through a need to share my own recipes, and twists on the classics, with you!
Throughout my posts you’ll find recipes, pictures, and a taste of my life, I hope you enjoy! You might find that I have an affinity towards the following ingredients- bacon, maple syrup, raspberries, lemons, coconut, and peanut butter.
